Seller Responsibilities

What we expect from every seller

Sellers are responsible for honest communication, accurate product descriptions, safe packaging and reliable order handling.

Seller Responsiveness

Sellers are expected to respond to Henko communication and shipping requests within 3 business days.

  • Failure to respond may result in listing removal.
  • Repeated non-response may lead to account restrictions.

Accurate Descriptions

Product descriptions must accurately reflect condition, functionality, included accessories and known defects.

  • Hidden defects may result in returns.
  • Misleading listings may be removed.

Shipping Obligations

After a successful sale, sellers must ship the product within 3 business days unless otherwise agreed.

  • Failure to ship may lead to order cancellation.
  • Delayed shipping may affect seller status.
Listing Exclusivity

Products listed on Henko must remain available

Products listed on Henko may not be actively offered on competing marketplaces during the listing period. This prevents double sales, unavailable products and disappointed buyers.

Not allowed while listed on Henko

Offering the same product simultaneously on platforms such as:

  • eBay
  • Marktplaats
  • Facebook Marketplace
  • Kleinanzeigen
  • Other public classified platforms

Henko reserves the right to remove listings found elsewhere during the active listing period.

Product Standards

Equipment must match the listing

Functional Condition

Equipment must be fully functional unless clearly stated otherwise in the listing.

  • Non-functional products may be returned.
  • Unsafe electrical products are not allowed.
  • Incomplete or defective products must be clearly described.

Poor Product Quality

If a buyer receives a product that is significantly worse than described, Henko may intervene.

  • The product may be returned.
  • Repair or compensation costs may apply.
  • The seller may lose selling privileges.

Transport Damage

Transport damage is at the seller’s risk. The seller must ensure that the product is packed professionally and safely.

Damage caused by insufficient packaging may result in return costs, repair costs or cancellation of the transaction.

Packaging

Safe packaging is mandatory

Professional equipment is often fragile, heavy and valuable. Sellers must use suitable packaging materials and ensure that the product can safely withstand transport.

  • Use sufficient padding and protection.
  • Secure fragile parts separately.
  • Use strong outer packaging.
  • Insure high-value shipments where possible.
Marketplace Enforcement

How Henko handles rule violations

To protect buyers, sellers and the reputation of the marketplace, Henko may take action when marketplace standards are not met.
