Everything you need to know before selling through Henko

Henko is a trusted marketplace for used studio, lighting and photography equipment. These rules help us protect buyers, sellers and the quality of the platform.

Commission Structure

Henko works on a success-fee basis. You only pay commission when your equipment is successfully sold.

Our commission covers marketplace exposure, listing management, secure payment handling, buyer protection, seller support and dispute mediation throughout the transaction process.

Exclusive Listing

Equipment listed on Henko may not be actively offered through other marketplaces during the listing period. This prevents duplicate sales and keeps availability reliable.

Product Description

The seller is responsible for accurate product information, honest condition descriptions, known defects, repairs and included accessories.

Shipping Responsibility

The seller is fully responsible for proper packaging. Valuable, fragile or heavy equipment must be packed securely and suitable for transport.

Transport Damage

Transport damage is at the seller’s risk. If damage occurs due to insufficient packaging, repair costs, returns or cancellation may apply.

Payment Release

The seller receives payment after the buyer has received and approved the product. The buyer has 48 hours after delivery to inspect the item.

Buyers have 48 hours after delivery to inspect and report any issue that materially differs from the product description.

  • The item must be returned complete.
  • Accessories, cables, cases and documentation must be included.
  • Damage, misuse or modification may affect the refund process.
  • Return cases are reviewed by Henko.

Buyer Protection

Every purchase through HENKO benefits from our Buyer Protection process. Secure payments, verified seller submissions and independent dispute mediation help buyers purchase with confidence while supporting successful sales for sellers.

Defects that were not disclosed and were not caused by misuse, accidents or improper handling after delivery.

Not Covered

Cosmetic wear, consumables, accidental damage, water damage, user error or defects clearly mentioned in the listing.

Like New

Almost indistinguishable from new.

Excellent

Minimal signs of use, fully functional.

Good

Visible cosmetic wear, fully functional.

Fair

Noticeable wear but operational.

Parts / Repair

Not fully functional or sold for repair.

Prohibited Products

  • Stolen equipment
  • Counterfeit products
  • Unsafe or modified electrical equipment
  • Products that violate applicable laws
  • Items with undisclosed serious defects
